The original founders of the firm joined together in 1991 to form, Meyer, Knight & Williams P.C. After the original partners retired, Nathan Steadman and Al Taxis purchased the firm in 2022 and renamed it Meyer, Knight, Steadman & Taxis, PLLC. 

Today the Firm has four attorneys who actively practice law including, two Partners, one Associate and one Of-Counsel.

The Firm's clients, many of whom have been with Firm since 1991, include domestic and foreign individuals, partnerships, and publicly and privately-held corporations.

The Firm is primarily engaged in a general business practice, with particular expertise in complex commercial and construction litigation and arbitration; partnership and fiduciary disputes; corporate and partnership counseling and formation; lender liability; federal and state administrative agency disputes; all forms of Real Estate issues including leasing, acquisition, construction, development and conveyances, and title disputes; Estate Planning; Appeals; and, advising business owners related to their business.
